What changed
The NabuOS console no longer takes only text files and PDFs. Drop a picture (PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF) up to 12 MB or a video (such as MP4) up to 18 MB anywhere on the page, pick it with the clip button beside the composer, or paste it from the clipboard — the same paths a document already took.
Every picture is read by the vision alias the moment it lands (as before), and its words ride your message to the assistant. No model here can watch a video yet; instead the assistant is told plainly that a video with that name was attached, and asks you about it when the answer depends on it — a clip no longer disappears silently.
How to use it
- In any console thread, drag the file onto the page, or press the clip button ("Attach a file").
- Until you send, the chip under the field shows a picture's thumbnail and a clip's length; ✕ takes it back.
- After sending, the message's attachment chip keeps the preview and the length.
Good to know
- Ceilings: pictures 12 MB, videos 18 MB, text and PDF still 15 MB. Anything over its kind's ceiling is refused on the spot with a plain message.
- A kind no reader takes (an executable, say) is refused as before — the type is read from the file's content, so renaming it changes nothing.
- The thumbnail and the video length are read by your own browser from the local file; no byte is uploaded just for a preview.
- The server's whole-body ceiling is 20 MB; a file heavier than that never reaches the app.
