Every project has its own voice room, and guests can join from a link

What changed

Each project now keeps one voice room named after the project. Opening "Online meeting" from the project, its board, or the conversation beside it drops you into that room. While somebody is in it, the project and the room list show "Meeting in progress". The other people who can open the project get a notice in the inbox, with "Join the meeting" on the row.

A room owner, an admin, or the project's manager can turn on "Allow guests" and copy or share the guest link. The link can expire, stop after a number of guests, or hold guests until a member admits them. A guest types a name and, if they want, an email or phone, then joins the room's audio and camera. They see a Guest badge, they cannot open the rest of the panel, and a member can remove them. If the link is off, revoked, or past its date, the page says the link is no longer available.

How to use it

1. Open a project under "Tasks" and choose "Online meeting". The project's room opens; there is no list of rooms to pick from.
2. Inside the room, open "Guest settings", turn on "Allow guests", and save. Use "Copy guest link" or "Share guest link" to hand the address out.
3. Turn on "Guests wait until a member admits them" when a guest should wait. Admit or turn them away from the same panel, and use "Kick" to take someone out of the room.

Good to know

• A members-only project keeps its room to the people who can already open that project. A room that is not tied to a project stays open to the business, as before.
• Regenerating the link retires the old address. Someone already inside stays until the link is revoked or guests are turned off.
• A guest's email or phone is filed against a contact only when exactly one contact of this business matches. The guest still cannot open that contact.
